

I always wake up early, I go to bed at night and the last thing I think about is the espresso I’ll soon be drinking…
I wake up & quietly make my way down the stairs, carefully slipping by our daughter Lily’s room. Cortado in hand, I fire up the roaster. Decafs first under low heat. Laura enters in fuzzy slippers and mans (or womans) the bagging station. We are rolling now. In between roasts, I grab a few runs on the sk8 ramp outside…
At Frontside Coffee Roasters, we select great coffees from around the globe and gently roast them to perfection.
For your convenience, we generally roast four ways.
- Peak Roast - A lighter roast intended to showcase that origin's specific cup qualities (body, acidity & flavor).
- City Roast - Slightly darker than peak; our Frontside House Blend is city roasted.
- Dark Roast - Just a few seconds into second crack, our dark roasts are not simply burned coffee. With just a hint of oil on the exterior, these coffees showcase the dark chocolate flavor spectrum without bitterness.
- French Roast - Very dark & oily coffee beans.
